Man United are desperate to sign Paris Saint-
Germain defender Marquinhos, as reported by
Le10Sport . Furthermore, the report from
France claims that the Red Devils could offer
Angel Di Maria as bait to help secure the
Brazil international.
Marquinhos, 21, joined the reigning Ligue 1
champions back in 2013 for a staggering fee
of €31 million fee, as per Le10Sport.
The 21-year-old has proven himself to be one
of the best young defenders in Europe, with
many expecting him to become one of the
leading centre-backs in the world.
Marquinhos has completed 50 interceptions
this season
However, the report claims that the Red Devils
are refusing to give up on Marquinhos.
Le10Sport report that the Red Devils have
already made several offers for the Brazil star,
but PSG have snubbed them.
Meanwhile, the report says that Man United
could be prepared to bring Di Maria to the
negotiating table, as a means to
lure Marquinhos to Old Trafford, but they
also claim that any deal for the Brazil
international will not be easy.
The 21-year-old played in just 25 Ligue 1
games this season, starting on 21 occasions.
Marquinhos’ composure and grace on the ball
is proven by his impressive pass accuracy of
92%. Meanwhile, the Brazil superstar has won
a tidy 53% of his tackles and 59% of his
headed duels this campaign.
