The Hammers announced Bilic as their newmanager yesterday and have handed him a £25m
transfer kitty to bring in new faces this summer.
And, the former Besiktas boss is eyeing Remy as
his first signing, according to The Express .
West Ham are already preparing for their Europa
League campaign with start on July 2 and are in
desperate need of new recruits if they are to build
on their successes this season.
French international Remy, who is rated at around
£8m, is understood to be frustrated at his lack of
game time with Premier League champions
Chelsea.
And, Bilic is willing to offer the striker a fresh
start at Upton Park.
Crystal Palace and Swansea are also said to be
interested in Remy.
Meanwhile, West Ham are close to securing a
deal for Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang.
The 23-year-old is understood to have agreed a
£4.6m deal, which is expected to be completed
this week.
It is a fact not lost on the former Besiktas and
Croatia boss when he analysed the team's
performances from last season.
He told West Ham's official website: “They were a
little bit unlucky last year with the number of
injuries in a crucial stage of the season.
